A research team from the Department of Physics & Astronomy at Seoul National has revealed first-light images of the 7-Dimensional Telescope (7DT). The released images show colorful views of several celestial bodies and demonstrate scientific capabilities of 7DT

Science

7 Scientific Goals

Through meticulous observations and advanced analysis, our goal is to shed light on unraveling mysterious objects in the universe such as gravitational-wave sources, supermassive black holes, new transient sources, peculiar stellar phenomena, and small bodies of the solar system.

Survey

7 Dimensional Sky Survey

Leveraging both wide-area and high-cadence observation strategies, the 7 Dimensional Survey (7DS) delves into previously unexplored cosmic realms by dedicated working groups.

Facilities

7 Dimensional Telescope

The 7-Dimensional Telescope (7DT), a pioneering multi-telescope system, comprises 20 individual telescopes, each with a 50cm diameter, strategically positioned at Chile.
